Club Solo vs Squarespace

Club Solo vs Squarespace: guided by your answers, or designed by you.

Squarespace gives you templates to fill in, then sends you to a separate subscription, Acuity, to take bookings. Club Solo interviews you about your business, builds your brand, writing, and website from your answers, and has booking built in.

Feature by feature.

Squarespace gives you the templates. The words, the design decisions, and a second subscription for booking are yours to sort out.

How your site gets built

Club Solo
Talk through a guided interview about your business. Your brand, writing, and website are built from your answers, Logo Studio makes your logo, and nothing goes live until you approve it.
Squarespace
Describe your business and Blueprint AI drafts a site with starter content, or pick a template. Then you design and edit it yourself, and you can't publish until you're on a paid plan.

Who works out what to say

Club Solo
The interview works out who your Perfect Client is, what you do best, and why people should choose you. Every page is written from your answers, so it sounds like you, not a template.
Squarespace
Blueprint writes starter copy from your description. Turning it into something that sounds like you is on you.

Booking

Club Solo
Built in and included. Clients book online with no passwords and no phone tag. You set availability, policies, and deposits.
Squarespace
Not included in any website plan. Taking bookings means adding Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription at $16 to $49 a month billed yearly, or $20 to $61 billed monthly.

Payments

Club Solo
Built in and included: online payments, booking deposits, and payouts. Your money goes direct to you.
Squarespace
Basic takes a 2% fee on service sales on top of card fees, and deposits and payment plans aren't on Basic. Acuity takes appointment payments through its own separate processor connection.

Client records

Club Solo
Client records and appointment history. Talk your notes in and they land on the right client's record.
Squarespace
A contacts panel in Squarespace, and separate client profiles and appointment notes in Acuity.

Gift cards and intake forms

Club Solo
Gift cards and intake forms, included.
Squarespace
Gift certificates for appointments need Acuity Standard or higher. Appointment intake forms come with Acuity, the separate booking subscription.

Price

Club Solo
One plan, $79 a month, no setup fee. Everything above is included, with 2 provider seats and unlimited staff seats.
Squarespace
Website plans run $19 to $99 a month billed yearly, or $25 to $139 billed monthly. Add $16 to $61 a month for Acuity to take bookings. Two subscriptions, two bills, and the writing and designing still on you.

Who should choose which.

Choose Club Solo if

  • You're tired of fighting your website and want your evenings back.
  • You want help working out what your site should say, not only how it looks.
  • You want booking in the same plan as your website, not a second subscription.
  • You'd rather review a finished draft than start from a blank template.

Squarespace may fit if

  • You'll write every word yourself and have the time to design the site around it.
  • You're already paying for Acuity and don't mind managing two subscriptions and two bills.
